ABOUT GIPER LIBRARY
Gourishankar Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research,
Limb, Satara is established in 2008 along with the Gourishankar
Educational & Charitable trust under the kind guidance of President
Prof. M.S. Jagtap with a great vision of providing quality education
in pharmacy to economically, educationally and socially weaker
section of society.
➢ Library is automated using Koha software for day to day
operations. Web Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is
available on Internet www.gourishankarpharmacy.org/onlinelibrary
Library is a resource centre for pharmaceutical science.
Library is enriched with current resources in pharmaceutical
sciences along with collection of science humanity and competitive
exam books.
Library has developed repository consisting of Syllabus,
Magazines, Newsletters, Dissertations, Question papers etc. Library
is having collection of CDs, DVDs. of B.pharmacy & M.Pharmacy
books along with science and humanity subjects. Library also has
huge collection of various National and International Pharmacy
journals.
The Library helps the teachers, students, researchers to explore
updated and latest information related to their field of interest. It
also helps them to get information through different media that can
be useful for them for writing their research paper, dissertation
theses, e- sources etc. The Library occupies about 231.86 sq.m. area
having 8300 books collection. Library is having good collection of
journals magazines and bound volumes.
The Library is open between 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on all working
days. The entire library book collection is classified according to
DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) system
Library resources are stacked in the General Stack area, Reference
Section, Periodical section, Bound volumes and Newspaper display
area
